1.      The Furuno collection comprises a mixture of brochures and manuals, and it is quite common for these to embrace a 'family' of like systems. Because of this, there is not a precise one-to-one correlation between radar system designations and the documents in our cabinets. There is also a plethora of suffices that may be used; again, brochures and manuals tend to cover these as part of the same 'family.' In consequence, there are many more systems than there are reference documents. Finally, the collection includes a number of EMForensics-copyright reports describing the observed behaviors of Furuno systems; these reports are accessible only to subscribers.

2.      Furuno has been manufacturing radars for far longer than we have been gathering information about their products, and the list of 'retired' systems for which we have no data is quite long. It can be quite challenging to determine whether a product line is simply retired from the sales catalog but still afloat in numbers, or whether the product is too obsolete for safe or legal operation. We hope that, over time, the number of afloat systems for which we have no documents will diminish.

3.      In a few instances, there are several generations of a system, e.g. Furuno 1731 Mark 3, and we may have documents for more than one version. Please consider this when choosing to download and view files. 

4.      You may download any of these documents to your own storage system. When doing so, please bear in mind that their presence on a 'local' system does NOT absolve you from the obligation to observe the copyright laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside.

5.      You may not download and store any EMForensics-copyright characterization reports without the prior written approval of EMForensics.

6.      Some files in our repository are very large. Please be respectful of other users, and of our bandwidth limitations: we must pay for additional bandwidth, or restrict the service to others. Of course, if you wish to have the repository on a DVD, you need only to ask us for a copy.
